Our history…
The Leatherhead Swans was formed in October 1975 as a registered charity through the endeavours of our founder, the late Vi Hardman MBE. Along with considerable assistance from the British Sports Association for the Disabled and the Leatherhead Council of Sport & Recreation, the Swans is a vital resource that helps enrich the lives of disabled people from the area.
We operate from the newly refurbished Leatherhead Leisure Centre and offer a range of sporting opportunities for people with varying disabilities of any age. We also make their families, friends and carers welcome.
A word from our Patron…
Nicholas Owen
"As Patron of The Leatherhead Swans Club, I’m continually amazed at the difference our organisation makes to the lives of people with disabilities and the commitment shown by our supporters and volunteers.
The role of The Swans is only made possible due to the vital contribution made by individuals and our sponsors. Becoming involved by volunteering or through sponsorship ensures we continue to enrich the lives of disabled people to help build their confidence and independence. We thank you for your commitment and look forward to welcoming new sponsors as we continue to improve the facilities and services we offer to our members."
